This is a replacement Lexus LS400 Boot Seal.
One of the common problems on the Mark 3 and 4 Lexus LS400 vehicles is a leaky boot.
Over time the seal breaks down allowing water into the boot giving you a wet and smelly boot aswell as risking internal body rust. What we have here is a Brand New Replacement boot seal which is the correct length and profile for the LS400 boot aperture.
Fitting is very simple:
- Pick a dry day to carry out the repair – remove the old seal which simply pulls off.
- Clean and dry the boot lip
- Prepare the boot lip by treating any rust spots – to prevent further corrosion
- Fit the new seal by simply pushing on ensuring the join comes at the bottom near the boot catch
- Complete the join with some silicone seal
