If you are  lucky enough to own a Lexus LS400 you may well get the common fault whereby the factory Gas Bonnet Struts no longer support the weight of the bonnet making it impossible to work under the bonnet (not that these cars need much doing under the bonnet in the first place).

The reason why these struts fail is over time the rubber sealing gaskets shrink/perish therfore letting the gas escape resulting in strut failure.

What we have here is a pair of gas struts which come complete with new ball joints ready to bolt onto the car – Fitting is very simple and merely take 5 minutes – simply undo the 2 bolts holding each old strut. Then screw the new struts onto the car – simple straight swap.
